ABOUT THE PROJECT:
We created this video to be used by the Linguistics department at Ohio University. It was also used Spring 2016 in a Graduate-level Teacher Training course LING 5820: Teaching English for Specific Purposes.
PURPOSE:
Often for international students, cross-cultural interactions via phone conversation are not intuitive. Students may mis-communicate due to unfamiliarity with cultural communication etiquette. The structure would be as follows: Start with a brief opener and then show 1) Bad conference call 2) Training Tips 3) Good conference call.
TOOLS:
Canon DSLR for videotaping, audio and lighting, Adobe Premiere Pro.
